The following packages are installed on CSC machines. If you believe some applications are missing, contact termcom or syscom. If you think some applications are desirable but not in the list, contact syscom and we will determine whether it will be added.
Common
- CLI tools: zsh fish htop ripgrep
- Editors: vim emacs
- Development tools: racket build-essential(including gcc, binutils, make, etc.) git python3
Office Terminals
- Desktop Environment: GNOME (task-gnome-desktop), KDE Plasma (task-kde-desktop)
- Editors: vscode kate
- vscode from Microsoft's repository
- Web browser: firefox(firefox-esr version on debian) chromium
- Tools: guake
