CSC Weekly All-Hands Meeting (Sunday, March 7, 2021)

• Events
  • More internal socials coming so we can meet each other!
    • Had one Saturday 6pm with Jackbox and Drawphone
  • Afterhours: Personal Relationships
    • Well done! Participants stayed for super long actually, a dozen of us just stayed in call until 9:30pm even though the event started at 7pm
    • Looking forward to more + more social events
    • Great way for people to meet each other and talk about something
    • Point of discussion: talking about internal CSC a lot, feels cliquey
      • Don’t want people to feel excluded
      • Mentioning friends in CSC, should be okay!
      • Be open, put in extra effort to be welcoming
      • When do you get this vibe most often?
        • Mostly Afterhours -- it’s easy to talk about
      • Language is something to consider, talking about frontend team vs just frontend engineers
  • Discussed a potential event for first years to deal with coop stress, floated ideas of having a resume critique-esque event but now we're feeling more of having a social event during the 2 day break
    • ~March 15th
  • DIY React with Rishi for OOTB
    • Getting updates from Rishi this week and finalizing the event
    • ~Saturday March 20th
  • Move to event coordinating ownership where each event coordinator will take responsibility of an event or two
• Marketing

  • Gordon will make a Trello to track tasks
  • Will be making marketing join event meetings if they wish
    • Allow for more ownership, involvement, context
  • Marketing will post tomorrow for T-5 countdown for alt-tab speaker registration!

  • Branding is now finished! See CS Figma Branding tab to see Codey and our new branding
    • Use as reference for future social media assets
    • Our posts will be recognizable!
  • Waiting for more details on events, will need to work on social media graphics for our many events coming up

  • In researching phase, see what other sites look like, what they include
  • Since branding is finished, will start website ideation and wireframing

  • Tickets made by Steven on Trello board, link in FE channel
