  • money stuff
    • CIF: initial proposal rejected due to high cost ($1450), consider alternate choices ($2x460x1.13)
    • MEF: MathSoc is still forming a committee. we shall wait
  • powernap
    • allow audio group to do bluetooth - Edwin
    • returned to CSCF
    • replace thermal materials? not now
  • password manager (bitwarden)
    • up and running!
    • ask IST to lift firewall restrictions to allow external access - Leo
  • cloud cluster
    • ginkgo HDD has been failing, high error count reported by SMART
    • move some of the old mirror drives to ginkgo, and potentially other cloud machines too?
    • we have 15 idle drives. just fill up ginkgo and put all of the rest to biloba
  • new mirror page!
    • collaboration with webcom?
    • add more information to the front page (current sync status, last sync time, etc.)
    • add a blog section about recent changes on the mirror
  • general mirror renovations (Long Term Project)
    • config reload doesn't work (state reset on reload)
    • mirror-checker - a Golang rewrite - Nathan
  • netapp
    • what's next? build our own ZFS cluster?
    • build a newer krb5 package with DES backported
  • cobalamin - the backup machines in Physics 2
    • random shutdowns and reboots
    • should be replaced by something else that are slightly newer

  • Leo: request firewall citric-acid, go to server room to move old mirror drives to cloud clusters
  • Edwin: allow audio group to log into powernap and allow all users that can log into powernap to edit bluetooth settings
  • Nathan: rewrite mirror-checker in Golang (not Rust, duh)
  • Max: backport a newer version of krb5 sutff
